A School-Parent Compact is an agreement that parents, students and teachers develop together. It outlines how parents and teachers will work together as a team to ensure all of our students reach or exceed grade-level standards and expectations.

Jonathan Reed School Mission
Jonathan E. Reed School is dedicated to promoting students' social, emotional and academic growth by providing high-quality, personalized learning experiences for all students. We maintain and inclusive environment which acknowledges and respects students from diverse backgrounds. Educators and parents will help guide students in becoming responsible, respectful and productive members of society.

Our school Parent Involvement Policy will be developed in partnership with parents/caregivers and will be made available to all families.

Our school will make the Parent Involvement Policy available to the local community by including the policy in the weekly newsletter, posting on the school website, and having copies available in the main office.

Communication About Student Learning
Reed School is committed to frequent two-way communication with families about children's learning. Some of the ways parents and teachers communicate all year are:

PK-5 Reading: Forty-four percent of students will move a category or remain at above benchmark from beginning of year (BOY) to end of year (EOY) as measured by mCLASS DIBELS 8 Composite score.

Kindergarten: PSF
Grade 1: ORF, WRC
Grades 1-5: ORF

PK-5 Math: Progress toward Annual Typical Growth will increase from 86 percent (spring 2023) to 100 percent by EOY 2024 as measured by i-Ready Diagnostic Growth.

6-8 ELA: Student critical reading and writing scores will grow by a minimum of 10 percent from BOY to EOY.

6-8 Math: HMH Growth measure success will increase by a minimum of 10 percentage points from BOY to EOY.

Attendance: Chronic Absenteeism rate will decrease from 34 percent to 30 percent by EOY.

• Support your child by checking homework folders/planners nightly
• Be sure your child has a quiet place to read for 20 minutes daily
